1- beginning (~ 2km- not very much climb.  multiple controls emphasizing quick decison making)
2- int/adv (~ 3km) - not very much climb.) same as above but with more advanced control placement.

Sunday Aug 29th- reg courses starts at 10:00am with reg beg at 9:00-9:30 depending on set up time. Many will be camping
White ~ 2km very little climb- will not cross the road
Yellow- ~ 3-4km some climb but still not much- will not cross the road
Orange- ~4-4.5km med climb- may cross the road
Long Orange- ~6km- climb involved- some route choice but mostly just long. Will cross the road
Brown 4-5km- with not too much climb but more technical placement of controls. May cross the road.
Red- 6-7km- climb yes and more technical placement of controls with route choice. will definitely cross the road.

CAMPING: is be available at the event site (see above), but there are four USFS campgrounds in the vicinity (Barton Flats, San Gorgonio, South Fork, and Heart Bar).

    - Barton Flats and San Gorgonio are equipped with showers. A few campsites can be reserved (1-800-280-CAMP), but most are left open on a first-come basis.

    - Dispersed camping (no fires, litter etc) is allowed nearby on the eastern end, southern side of Jenks Lake Rd

Directions: From the I-10 in Redlands, take Highway 38 east into the mountains. Easiest exit from LA is Alabama exit (this is just west of the 10/210 junction) go north 2 blocks to Lugonio, which becomes Hwy 38, go east all the way. A supermarket is in the first half-mile, about the last chance for snacks you have. The entrance to the Tahquitz Boy Scout Camp is located about five and a half miles past Angelus Oaks (if you get to the Barton Flats Visitor Center, you've gone about a half-mile too far). Allow about 45 minutes of mountain driving from the freeway. You will see two entrances to the camp as you travel east on Highway 38 - the first is to the left, the second is to the right. Turn right (into the second entrance) and follow the signs.
